Itinerary
Day 1 – MALAGA AIRPORT – COSTA DEL SOL
Upon arrival at Malaga Airport, the group will be met and greeted by the Gamma Tours escort. Transfer to the hotel and time at leisure. Overnight.
Day 2 – COSTA DEL SOL- COSTA DE GRANADA – GRANADA
Departure to Almuñécar to visit a small family farm where you will see the subtropical fruits production. In the afternoon visit an important co-operative handled and currently markets avocado, cherimoya, Dutch cucumber, cherry tomatoes and long life tomatoes. After the visit, you continue to Granada. Overnight.
Day 3 – GRANADA – CORDOBA
Depart to north west to visit a dairy farm that their activity began in the years 1970-1971, currently has an own livestock, with 660 heads approx. of dairy cows with an average production of 32/33 litres a day, with 3.8 fat and 3.2 protein.
Return to Granada. Accompanied by the official local guide you visit the Palace of the Alhambra and Generalife Gardens, which is the highlight of the city and was designated a World Heritage site.
Then you head towards Cordoba. Overnight.
Day 4 – CORDOBA – SEVILLE
Depart to north to visit one of the most important coops in Andalusia. They have about 9.000 members that produce quite everything. Generally, the visit starts at the typification centre of lambs and calves, then you follow to the unit where the Iberian pork products are cured and dried, finalising at the milk processing plant. The visit to the different units may be vary. Return to Cordoba City and then you take the highway towards Seville. Overnight.
Day 5 – SEVILLE – JEREZ – SEVILLE
Depart towards a stud farm located nearby the town of Jerez. From its foundation towards the end of the XV century, the Monastery of the Cartuja has been converted into the cornerstone of the Jerezano thorough bred horses. The visit consists of: Reception at the enclosure entrance, guided tour of the facilities: Stallion yard, Harness room and coach-houses. Mare barn and Clinical service area.
Show in the covered dressage ring for free-running colts of different ages, with hitches, classical dressage, “cobras” of mares (a group of mares tied together with one handler) and so on.
Sherry wine is well known around the world, especially in Europe. You will visit one of today’s largest Sherry houses dates to 18th C. During the visit, you receive full explanations about the elaboration process ending with a tasting. Return to Seville. Overnight.
Day 6 – SEVILLE City Tour
Accompanied by the official local guide you visit the city and its highlights such as the Cathedral or the Alcazar or Fortress, both designated World Heritage Sites, besides, you stroll through the Santa Cruz Quarter having the feeling that you have dating back to medieval times.
Afternoon at leisure to discover new places, shopping down or taking a boat trip on the Guadalquivir River. Overnight.
Day 7 – SEVILLE AND SURROUNDINGS
Depart to the surroundings of Seville to visit a coop founded 70 years ago, with over 1000 members. They produce citrus and some other species of fruits.
You continue south to visit a coop that has more than 500 members cultivating all-together 15.000 hectares of different crops. Return to Seville. Overnight.
Day 8 – SEVILLE – MALAGA AIRPORT DEPARTURE
Morning departure to a small town to visit a coop seeing their installations, the typification centre of lamb and the bovine feedlot, they also have olive oil mill.
From there you leave straight to Malaga Airport and depart to your next destination.
